I posted awhile back (ok, a long time back lol) that I was going to Jesh de Rox's workshop. Well I have to admit that it was the most amazing thing I could have ever done for myself as well as for my business. It has impacted me more than I can put into words. It's one of those things that I've wanted to shout out to the world about, but like I said, I just can't put into words what it was about, how it affected me, and how everything that Jesh spoke about has been a part of my life since. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me.
I've had some time off recently and I'm trying to finally put to use some of the stuff that I'd decided I wanted to do when I came home from the workshop. Hopefully things will come together soon. With this time off though I've also finally had some time for myself to go through my own personal images as well as other stuff that's not necessarily client related.
During Jesh's workshop, each night we had an assignment that was due the next morning. For the last assignment we had to photograph a stranger...sure, easy enough...but no, we couldn't just stand at the sidelines and sneakily capture someone, we had to have this strangers permission!
I had a whole plan of the type of person I wanted to try to find and the shot was ingrained in my mind....but most of all I really wanted to try and utilize some of the stuff that was spinning around in my head during the workshop days (and still does). Finally at 10:30 at night I got up the courage to ask a guy leaving the lounge if I could photograph him. To my surprise he wasn't alone really and his girlfriend said that sure I could take their picture! Even better! Now I could really try my hand at things with a couple...something I really never ever do.
C&S, I hope you guys love these as much as I do and I can NOT thank you enough for allowing me into your lives that night. I couldn't have found anyone more perfect for my "strangers".
And Jesh, thank you!♥ The sleepless nights I've had since your workshop have all been worth it. lol Seriously though, I wish I could tell you how much impact you have had on me.
I'll share the images now and let them speak for themselves. ♥
And I have to add that I was shocked tonight when I checked out the info on these images. This was the fastest "session" I've ever had lol. These were all captured literally within 1 minute of each other! :)
